Tibetan Medicine in Europe – UK

Chunga Lhamo and two of her friends participate in a horticulture training organized at the Edinburgh Botanical Gardens. The aim of the training is to help Tibetan doctors face the challenge of cultivating medicinal plants that are quickly disappearing from the Tibetan Plateau. One of these plants is the blue Himalayan poppy, a plant that also grows in Scotland. The three young Tibetan medical professionals participating greatly appreciate the training but are uncertain if the techniques they learned will work back home in Tibet.
